Meet MA Trần Tuấn Đạt, affectionately known as “Thầy Beo U40” – a lecturer and content creator adored by millions of young people.

With the life philosophy that “age is no barrier to your energy and passion,” Thầy Beo’s journey from aspiring diplomat to lecturer and ultimately a “viral teacher” has helped him discover his core values. Starting with just a phone and the boredom of being stuck indoors during the Covid-19 pandemic over three years ago, Thầy Beo U40 has since amassed over 8 million followers across platforms. His unique content blends entertainment and education, inspiring countless young people to step out of their comfort zones, chase their dreams, and elevate even the smallest passions.

From an 18-year-old leaving his hometown of Tân Phú, Đồng Nai, with a blank passport, Thầy Beo has now “checked in” to over 40 countries and territories, thanks to full scholarships, faculty exchange programs, international youth exchanges—and even some idol-chasing adventures.

As a devoted BLACKPINK fan, Thầy Beo has attended 13 BLACKPINK concerts worldwide and spearheaded the “Vietnamese Conical Hat in Your Area” project, gifting over 250 conical hats at their U.S. shows, including direct gifts to Jennie and Rosé. In August 2024, Thầy Beo beat the odds to become one of 88 lucky fans worldwide (and the only Vietnamese) to attend BLACKPINK’s 8th debut anniversary fansign in Seoul, South Korea, where he met and chatted with his idols in person.
